Audience: This session is for individuals who are familiar with the Bayley-4 and want to expand their use and understanding of the measure.

Learning objectives: After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate at least three reasons why you might administer a standardized developmental assessment as part of your clinical practice with babies and young children. 
  • Describe one reason why developmental age equivalent scores should be used with caution. 
  • Describe five elements that should be included in a developmental assessment summary report for caregivers. 
  • List at least two observations that would prompt further investigation of a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. 
  • List at least two observations that would prompt further investigation of a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
